Happy today. Got the mouse set up. Works with a little of a problem and I am assuming that it's because it is a PS2 connected to a USB adapter but that's ok for now. I was able to take my Cisco E1000 v2.1 and do a Firmware update using DD-WRT firmware and now FINALLY using Google  to search how to do it I can use it as a LAN adapter so that all my nodes use the Internet at the same time. Was trying to figure this out a long time now.
