Placed an order from Ebay for two E5-2620 V2 6 core CPU's with hyperthreading. This will be used for the SYS4027GR-TR that Supermicro is sending. The cpu's arrive by FedEx on Tuesday.
Looking into getting two GTX 780 ti or two GTX Titans to complete the eight GPU build. I think I am going to go with the Titans because it also has good double precision accuracy.
So this server will have the two E5-2620 V2 cpu's, 256GB of memory, one 2.5" SSD of 120GB and the eight GPU'S. Awesome for this effort.
Will be doing a YouTube video for this. An unboxing video, a set up video and then an actual working and later an update on the progress of this effort. Just can't wait!!!!
Anybody have two GTX Titans they would like to donate????
