Well, just received an email from Dell. They can't help with the donation. Sad.
As I mentioned before, AMD, SUPERMICRO, NVIDIA, HIGHSPEEDPC, MICRON, SILVERSTONE are the companies that really understand the need. Great job.
The big absent here are, MICROSOFT, IBM, GIGABYTE, COOLERMASTER, CORSAIR, DYNATRON, FROZENPC, TYAN. Some of these didn't even answer. I have bought from these companies in the past but the ones that donated are the ones that I will follow from now on.
MICROSOFT is one of the worst. All I asked of them was an activation key (just a number) so that I could convert the TRIAL version of Windows 2008 Data Center (old version) into a full version. Wow, they gave me the run around and after making me believe that they were going to donate the software (not only the activation code), then they told me that they could not because of certain things. Wow, how much does an activation key cost a Million dollar company? I have owned several copies of Windows editions and I can easily use Linux, well, I will probably not anymore but when it's time to change OS I will just stick with Linux. A matter of fact, I was going to purchase a Windows phone and I got a Samsung android Galaxy S3.
